Your Move to Accessit: A Simple 5-Step Timeline

We believe transitioning to a new library system should feel simple—not stressful. That’s why we’ve designed a streamlined onboarding journey that’s transparent, supportive, and has us handle the hard stuff.

The actual process of moving your data from your current system and mapping it into Accessit takes around 7-10 days. Our Data Migration is full and complete, not simply a MARC record export and import unlike other systems.

Note: You will not lose any data and can still report library usage prior to switching to Accessit. In fact, when paired with SCIS, your data like lost cover images and authority files will be automatically updated and more useful than ever.

Here’s what to expect when you move to Accessit Library:

Step 1: Confirm Your Order

Once your signed order is returned, we get to work. Our onboarding team is notified and preps everything behind the scenes, no guesswork, no delay.

Step 2: Explore Your Onboarding Portal

You'll receive a link to your personalised onboarding portal. This central hub gives you full visibility into your progress and includes everything you need to:

  • Choose migration, install, and training dates
  • Access tailored guidance based on your current library system
  • Share info with your IT team for setup
  • Submit your pre-migration documentation

Step 3: Connect with Our Team

After your checklist is complete, we assign a dedicated trainer. Meanwhile, our tech experts coordinate directly with your IT staff to prepare for installation and ensure everything is in place.

Step 4: Full Data Migration

We handle all data transfer and mapping. Our migration specialists are experienced in dealing with all types of systems (even tricky ones). There’s no need to clean up your data beforehand, we’ve got tools to tidy things up once you're in Accessit.

Step 5: Training & Setup

When migration is complete, your first training session begins. You’ll get setup support and tips to personalise Accessit for your school. It’s hands-on, practical, and sets you up for success from day one.

Who will you work with?

Migrating your Data

Accessit has a dedicated migrations team that do the “heavy lifting” for you and can walk you through exporting the data from your old library system. They then do the work of importing and setting it up in Accessit for you.

IT Support

Our IT team perform the majority of the behind the scenes setup, ensuring Accessit syncs with your school resources like Student Management Systems for borrower sync, Single Sign-on, and anything else you need – with minimal assistance from your IT team.

Training

You and your team will be trained live online by our experienced librarians who not only know Accessit inside and out, they also have a wide range of experience in schools so can adapt your training to suit your unique needs.
